How does inclusive fitness explain behaviors that seem “contrary to nature”? In other words, some organisms (and some people) exhibit behaviors that prevent them from reproducing. At a glance this seems contrary to nature because nature wants us to get as many of our alleles into the next generation as possible. However, inclusive fitness demonstrates this behavior is actually helpful and not contrary to nature.

Answer #1

Inclusive fitness means the ability to inherit genetic character or genes to the next generation through an individual or it's close relatives.

It's a combination of direct fitness ( shared by same individual group) and indirect fitness ( shared by close relatives, who is recipient of those genes). Therefore, inclusive fitness can explain the behaviour or characters that are naturally impossible. It helps to measure the rate of gene transfer or behaviour to the future generations, those are hypothetical impossible according to the evolutionary concepts.

At level of evolution, inclusive fitness helps to transfer more genes to the next generation through the assortative and disassortative mating. It results in high survivability, related genes in a population overcomes the problem of survival of the fitness.
