Explanation: In the nuclear export process, the exportin protein binds cargo (i.e mRNA) in the presence of Ran-GTP. This ternary complex i.e exportin-cargo-RanGTP complex interacts with the nuclear pore complex to diffuse to the cytoplasm through the pore. In the cytoplasm, this ternary complex is dissociated from each other through the hydrolysis of Ran-GTP when the Ran-GTP interacts with GAP(i.e. GTPase activating protein). GAP induces the hydrolysis of GTP.
