Yes it's the truth that the Americans were afraid of communism and becoming a communist nation because of the very wrong image of communism drawn by the media, particularly.

Further the assertions and reflections by certain politicians that the Soviet Union will eventually dominate the world contributed to this fear more.

There were some negative perceptions of the American towards communism. It was assumed that there remains no liberty/ freedom due to communist ideologies, communist nations control people and don't allow the owing.

The religious sentiments, beliefs were disrespected and there was no freedom regarding expressing religious aspects too.

It was believed that the Soviet Communism is having the plans of establishing the control over the whole world gradually.
