The role of player union have stayed the same as one of the known names "NFL" is continued to be in action. There is a constant need is union in sports as otherwise players are heavily exploited by their bosses, do not get regular wages, do not get any health benefits etc. Therefore, the scope and need of sports union are not likely to end.
