For an electron moving in the direction of an electric field

It electric potential energy will increase and the electric potential decreases

Correct option is A.

Since we know that

E = -V/d

So as we moves in the direction of electric field it's electric potential will decrease.

Now Since electric potential energy is given by:

EPE = q*V

Since V is decreases and charge on electron is negative, So EPE will increase. In other word since electron is moving from high to low potential, So it's EPE will increases.
