Answer #1

Answer- Sex addiction can be described as a compulsive need to perform or indulge in sexual activities. The compulsive need arises from the notion of achieving a kind of "fix", which is similar to the "fix" an individual seeks when suffering from substance or alcohol addiction. Although sex addiction is the constant urge to perform sexual acts, it is often confused with pedophilia or bestiality. Individuals with sex addiction often face difficulties in a relationship.

Gambling addiction, on the other hand, refers to a persistent and problematic behavior leading to clinical impairment,  and stress. It is the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling. Gambling disorder can take extreme tolls on an individual's life.

Gambling addiction has been recognized by the DSM-5 an Impulse-Control Disorder, however, sex addiction has been recently excluded from the DSM-5, as it is not considered as an official disorder. This conclusion was made after a study on the reliability and validity of the diagnosis, where it was concluded so. Also, because sex is a rather controversial topic.
