Answer:- In a plant, phloem   conducts photosynthate ( sugar) produced by the plant.

Explaination :- Phloem is a complex permanent vascular tissue which conducts organic food in the plant body.

It has four types of cells- sieve tubes (sieve cells in non- flowering plants) , companion cells( albuminous cells in non- flowering plants) ,phleom parenchyma and phloem fibres.
