Many times market has seen the launch of products too soon. Sometimes due to various reasons, company launch its products before the actual time. These lack in preparedness can be -

• Not completely evaluating your product, does it contain any software or technical shortcomings.
• Is your product competent with the rivalry product
• Does it deliver what you promise.
• Evaluating potential risks in economy
• Not being able to effectively popularise your product.

Some examples are-

• Coin- a digital wallet that promised to replace all other wallets but all the technologies that they used were outdated.
• Iomega zip drive- they offered zip drives which can store large amount of data but failed to completely test their technology, leading to its failure.
