Answer #1

absorbance = A = -log T

A = -log (7.9 /100)

A = 1.10

C = 0.0077 M

b = 1.00 cm

A = E x b x C

1.10 = E x 1.00 x 0.0077

E = 143.2 M-1cm-1

molar absorptivity   = 143 M-1 cm-1
