Answer#1) Orbitals are grouped in "zones" at different distances from the center.

These "zones" are known as energy levels of the atoms.

Electrons are located in different "zones" because of difference in energies of the electrons.

*Electrons in the zones, near the center, are lower in energy.

*Electrons in the zones , far from the center, have higher energy than the nearer one.

The lowest energy level is a single 1s orbital, that can hold 2e-.

Next zone is 2s , 2p1, 2p2, 2p3 orbitals. So total electrons will be 8e-.

Next zone is the higher level, 3s and 3p.
