Someone standing around the corner from the door would be able to hear me make a sound , but not able to see me because of the following reasons :

1. We can hear sounds around corners and around barriers or in this case because it involves both diffraction and and reflection of sound.

2. We can say that the diffraction have a dual nature and it causes waves to bend around obstacles and causes them to spread out past small openings.

3. We know that both sound and light are waves. The diffraction of sound waves around a corner is noticeable and we can hear the sound in the shadow region and the diffraction of light waves around a corner is not noticeable.
