Many companies have come and gone in the NOS world. Netware was
one of the premiere players in the game, giving Microsoft a run for
their market share. What happened to that NOS?. For this homework,
give a brief history of the change that caused them to lose their
market. Could this happen to another vendor? Which ones?
please type the answer at least one page. Thanks
i need the answer as soon as possible
What is NOS?
A network operating system that specialized for network devices like routers switch and firewall. In past a operating
system with network capabilities we termed as network operating system just because they allowed PCs to share
files via networks.
History of Network Operating Systems:
Historically operating system with network stack allows personal computers to participate in client-server schema
where server enables more than one clients to share data .Some examples are Novell Net-Ware and Windows server
2003.There was a time where Net-Ware were growing rapidly in the market then ,it collapsed.
Reason for Net-Ware Failure:
Microsoft finally developed Windows NT which bit the Net-Ware. Over time the clear winner was
Windows NT. Losing all resources while fighting battles and changing the organization strategies quite a
few times, the company slowly turned into a stage from where there is no turn around.
What is the current Situations:
There is a boom in the market for online organizations. There are lots of new startup companies growing up.All of these
companies need low cost Network Operating Systems due to lack of funds. There are two types of systems. Those are
Open Source and Proprietary OS.
In today's age there is a surge for open source networks. There are lots of Organizations that provide these like Broad-
Com and Ip-Infusion .The benefits are these are free of charge and with source code and we can freely modify the
software implementation.
The other type of system is Proprietary OS whose examples are Windows NT and Cisco. The
benefits of these are that they are paid and we can't modify the code and licence required to run the software.
If the same as Net-Ware can occur?
We have to understand that micro-soft is a big company with really deep pockets .In this field if some company
comes with innovation and gives a fight to Micro-soft two thing can happen either they will buy the company or Micro-
Soft will try to create problems for that company. So the same situation can arise again, but it depends on the company
authority as how well they can handle the organization.

Topic: Business Opportunities for Apple So the company that I have been researching is Apple. We all know that Apple has gotten a lot pricier over the years, and their reputation has kind of taken a hit due to it. Apple also isn't known for being the most charitable or a business that really focuses on helping the community around them. I think a great investment idea for Apple would be on that gives back to the communities around their...
