Q8. The primary structure of the protein is the peptides that are formed due to the covalent bond formation between amino acids, which is known as the peptide bond. It is the basic structure of the protein and is present as a simple chain of amino acids which further leads to the formation of fully functional protein structure.

The tertiary structure of the protein is the 3-D structure of the protein which is formed due to the folding of the secondary structure like an alpha helix and beta-strands. They are usually the functional protein i.e. they interact substrates and perform their function.

The tertiary structure is formed from the secondary structure which is formed from the primary structure, Also the ionic interaction or the disulphide bond formation in the amino acid residue or their side chains leads to the formation of the tertiary structure.
