in your company management development program, there was a heated discussion between some people who claimed, Theory is impractical and thus no good and other who claimed Good theory is the most practical approach to problems. What position would you take and why?

I think there is a line of difference between practical implementation of solutions and its founding theory but I also agree that a theory forms the strong basis for any successful practical implementation of solutions. In this regard, I shall agree with the others who claimed that good theory is the most practical approach to problems. If the theories fail to be applicable to the real-life problems then it is no good than a myth.
