the case study that we will be examining is intended to show the importance of and the components of attitudes and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is defined as “the degree of pleasure or positive affect that an employee has toward his or her job”. Job satisfaction is considered an important construct to study because there is a causal relationship between job satisfaction and other organizational behaviors such as performance, absenteeism, and turnover, as well as a host of others.

In the modern and developing world, we are increasingly looking at a globe wherein collaboration and trust building will help in forming such a relationship between employees and employers, that the vision or goals of an organization can be achieved relatively easily.

Over the years, numerous companies have developed their own understanding about job satisfaction and attitudes however all of them agree that a happy employee leads to a happy customer in more than one manner.

Job Satisfaction refers to the positive affect which an employee gets from work. This could result from the best man being employed for a particular job, such that they consider their job to be of relevance, equal opportunity and higher wages, other fringe or non-fringe benefits such as transport facility etc.

What brings in job satisfaction even between two people vary, however companies often try their best to provide the best of services possible in a budget to the employees, and help in creating an environment in which the employees can perform to the maximum of their ability.

Job Satisfaction is both a determinant and is a reason of the attitude of an employee. Attitude basically refers to a way of acting to a particular situation at work place. When people are satisfied, they tend to perform better and as a result, companies can move forward in the correct direction.

On the contrary, when people do not get the correct satisfaction from their job, they tend to leave companies relatively quickly and employee turnover, which refers to the amount of people leaving a job is relatively higher.

Attitude and job satisfaction thus are directly linked to one another, and provide the benefit of a higher productivity at workplace, lower employee turnover ratio and better ideas which reach the management and help the company in growing.

A positive framework individual is more likely to be job satisfied and will contribute to the best of one’s ability. On the contrary if too many people are not satisfied with their jobs, it results in redundancy and complacency in an organization with the end result being that employees do not share their feedback with the management, tend to be absent more and search for other opportunities because they feel that some elements are lacking in the type of job which they are currently doing.

Job satisfaction results from numerous potential things, all of which are different for different people. However, each company must realize the key areas where employees can be supported so that the overall morale remains relatively high, and productivity can increase.

Thus, we can conclude by saying that there exists a direct relationship between attitudes and job satisfaction, which directly impacts performance and is a result of factors which help or do not help the cause.
