May I please have a specific outline of how to answer this question? Thank you. Here is the question:
- Explain how genetic variation alters characteristics of populations and provide a specific example.
Genetic variation has 2 causes:
Mutation & recombination
Answer
The genetic variation greatly influences the survival of the population. The environment changes in time and genetic variation helps the population to cope with this change of environment. If the genetic variation is high in the population, then there is great diversity in phenotypes. Thus, there is a high chance that any organism would have traits which lets the population to overcome & survive the environmental changes.
example
At the time of a heavy rainstorm, some members of the population were moved to a new region. The moved population is having a few but not complete genetic variation of the actual population. Thus they have low genetic variation and hence, the moved population is having a small gene pool compared to the actual population. The chances of survival for the moved population is very less incase of a change in environment.
hope the answer helps.

please answer this questions with an explanation! Thank you Beetles of a certain species may have green, blue, or turquoise wing covers. Virgin beetles were selected from a polymorphic (i.e. not a true-breeding stock) laboratory population and mated to determine the inheritance of wing-cover color. The crosses and results were as follows: a. Explain how the genetic basis of wing-cover color in this species could be determined by one gene. b. Write the genotypes of all parents and progeny as...

(please only answer this if you know how to get the correct answer, thank you). question: Ice cream is a close substitute for frozen yogurt. Use the model of supply and demand to explain how a fall in the price of frozen yogurt would affect the price of ice cream and the quantity of ice cream sold. Please identify the exogenous and endogenous variables and provide a graph of supply and demand.
Please explain the answer. Thank you nota here heat
Here is the Essay question: Briefly describe three ideas/concepts that you learned in this class(microeconomics) that you may not have thought about earlier. (I hope there were at least three…). Briefly explain how these ideas may have made you think about the world differently or at least how they might have given you a different perspective on socio/economic/political issues (or reinforced previous thinking….) There is obviously no "right" answer for this question. All you need to do is write a...

PLEASE NOTE: I posted this question before and I was not satisfied with the answer. Please do not copy and paste that answer. The expert failed to provide an example. Here is the question: Give an example to explain why a US company might wish to enter into a fixed rate currency swap, paying Euros and receiving fixed- rate Sterling.
Please use Haskell, thank you! For this question, you will implement (under specific constraints) a recursive function in Haskell that takes a list of characters as an argument and returns a list that contains only every third element from the argument list in the same order. As a clarifying example, this function, when passed the argument list “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO”, should return the list “ CFILO”. It should also be noted that your function must work (i.e., not terminate with an error)...
I have had two people answer this question on here and have received two different answers, so please explain why you choose the answer below for the question: -At what stage of meiosis is the oocyte lost due to menses? Prophase I or Metaphase II
