How much involvement should a victim have in a criminal court proceeding? Should a victim be able to read a victim impact statement? Whose rights are more important in a criminal proceeding, the criminal defendant or the victim? Explain.

Neither the victim nor the criminal defendant should have any involvement in courts proceedings because it is only when the verdict is given after a fair and unbiased inquiry by the law enforcement we have a right to label anybody as a victim or criminal defendant.
