Answer #1

Each child is unique thus, they carry certain characteristics that would make them who they are. This would mean that when people try to modify their basic characteristics in order to make them with more desirable traits, they are spoiling the fetus’ uniqueness. Secondly, modifying the genetics in order to create a better fetus violates the autonomy of the fetus because it’s been changed without its consent. This would mean that the fetus cannot reverse them f it doesn’t like those traits that are altered by its parents. Finally, the fetus should be accepted as it is otherwise, the parents are trying to prove that they are not in favor of begetting a child with its original traits. However, if there is any genetic disease that would prevent the normal life of the fetus, it could be rectified.
