A 75-kVA, 4900-250-V,50-Hz, single-phase transformer has the following parameters expressed in ohms:
RLS = 0.005     RHS = 2.477     RfeHS = 44,167
XLS = 0.0115     XHS = 4.8419     XMHS   = 7,798.2
The transformer is operating in the step-down mode, delivering 70 % of the rated load at rated voltage and 0.98 p.f. lagging. Determine the magnitude of the input impedance of the combined transformer and load in Ohms.

Answer #1

Here we have given parameters of higher voltage side and lower voltage side first I evaluate the equivalent circuit referred to lower voltage side then calculate the load impedance after that I just calculate the thevenin impedance of equivalent circuit from input side and again referred it to higher voltage side.
