Design a DFA that takes a sentence in English and accepts the sentence if it satisfies the following conditions: • The sentence should end with a dot ".". • The first character of the sentence should be an upper letter. • Only one dot is allowed at the end of the sentence, with the exception of real numbers. • Whenever there is a comma "," or a semicolon ";" there should be exactly one space and a word that starts with a letter. • Each word is composed of letters or numbers only but not both. • If a word is a single-letter word it should be either "I" or "a" or a digit. • If there is a left parenthesis there should be some words that follows it and it should end with a right parenthesis and space or a dot after it. (e.g. (this is a test) ) • If there is an @ it should be followed with a word and a dot and another word .

Question 1: Design a DFA with at most 5 states for the language L1 = {w ∈ {0, 1}∗ | w contains at most one 1 and |w| is odd}. Provide a state diagram for your DFA. Approaching the Solution --since we haven’t really practiced this type of assignment (i.e. had to define our machine based on only having the language given; not the formal 5 tuples), I am providing the steps for how to work through this; you are...

Program Description: A C# app is to be created to produce Morse code. The Morse code assigns a series of dots and dashes to each letter of the alphabet, each digit, and a few special characters (such as period, comma, colon, and semicolon). In sound-oriented systems, the dot represents a short sound and the dash represents a long sound. Separation between words is indicated by a space, or, quite simply, the absence of a dot or dash. In a sound-oriented...

msp430 launchpad 2553 C programming Write a program for the microcontroller that flashes the Morse code pattern of a string. The Morse code is a system used to transmit characters and numbers through light or sound signals. Each character is mapped to a series of ‘dots’ and ‘dashes’ as shown below. For example, the letter A is (dot-dash), the letter B is (dash-dot-dot-dot) etc. To show a Morse letter on the microcontroller, the LED blinks for a short duration to...

please write a C++ code Problem A: Word Shadow Source file: shadow.cpp f or java, or.cj Input file: shadow.in in reality, when we read an English word we normally do not read every single letter of that word but rather the word's "shadow" recalls its pronunciation and meaning from our brain. The word's shadow consists of the same number of letters that compose the actual word with first and last letters (of the word) in their original positions while the...

String variables/Selection & loop Write a complete Java program which prompts the user for a sentence on one line where each word is separated by one space, reads the line into one String variable using nextline(), converts the string into Ubbi dubbi and displays the translated sentence. Ubbi dubbi works by adding ub before each vowel sound in a syllable. For example, hello becomes hubellubo. The word speak has the vowel sound ea, so in Ubbi dubbi it becomes spubeak....

    2. This question is about processing strings 2.1 [4 marks] Given a string str, we can calculate a checksum of the string by summing up the ASCII codes of the characters in the string. For example, the checksum of a string "apple" is 530, which equals to 'a' + 'p' + 'p' + 'l' + 'e' = 97 + 112 + 112 + 108 + 101. Write a function int calculate_checksum(char str[] that calculates and returns the checksum of the...
