Kant's theory focuses on RESPECT FOR PERSONS. Explain how this respect works and why Kant thinks this is a central moral principle.

INTRODUCTION :- Immanuel Kant is of the well known German philosopher who is highly recognized for the moral principle and most importantly for The Categorical Imperative.Kant has provided with several ethical theories and principle and one among them is RESPECT FOR PERSONS.

Kant's Respect For Persons is one of his ethical theory in which he explains that every single person on this world deserves respect and he should be provided with it.Kant believes that every person has their own identity and dignity which should always be respected,and one should never overlook it.According,to Kant,every person is free,rational and an end in their ownself,as a result each of them should be respected for being one.

As Kant's theory focuses on Respect For Person,and thus according to him this respect works in a manner by treating others as end in themselves and respecting their dignity.Any action will be considered morally right only if shows the respect for the other person,and not treating them as anyone else or by disrespecting them.Kant beliefs that for any person his dignity is of supreme importance,and we should respect them by maintaining it.

WHY KANT THINKS THIS IS A CENTRAL MORAL PRINCIPLE?

Kant thinks this respect for person is a central moral principle,because Kant beliefs that in order to make individual relate with each other or to maintain morality,human should behave morally,and this morality can be achieved if people starts to respect others and and treat others in such a way that it does not affect their dignity.In other words treating them as they are complete in themselves and nobody can like them,and this things will make human more moral.Therefore,according to him this is central moral principle.
