Part 2: Review five different ads from 1920 to today. What do you see as the major similarities and differences? Be sure to consider design and typography as well as cultural factors.

Advertising industry is one of the emergent industry with annual global turnover of size of ~$98 billion growing at rate of ~4.6% annually which is undergoing a transition over the last 5 years as shown below,

In above shown chart, the United States alone accounts for ~41 % of the global advertising industry value. Sectors such as Food and beverages, personal care and healthcare are the largest segment in the advertising industry, which alone accounts for 28% of the total industry spending as shown below,

While traditional TV channels continue to have the dominance with ~40% share, digital formats such as online and mobile advertisements have taken the center stage over the other forms viz. billboard, street furniture, airport, in-store in the recent days. Moreover, the industry is very competitive with presence from wide range of players. In addition, the forecast for 2021 shows that the global advertising industry is expected to reach $122 billion with an increase of 25% since 2016.
