Social responsibility is a commitment that businesses would balance profit-making activities with activities that are beneficial to the society. It means going beyond business basics and serving a positive relationship to the needs and requirements of the society in which they operate. A socially responsible leader means a leader who knows that his actions contribute to the social and environmental challenges businesses face today. As a leader I know that my decisions would impact a wide variety of people inside and outside the organisation. To achieve socially responsibility my actions would be:
-- I have to be moral, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities in addition to their responsibilities comply with the law and to earn a fair return for investors.
-- I would ensure that in the company people or the environment are not exploited for unnecessary gains. For example: child labor policies, safety, safe disposal avenues, safe materials, safe design, excessive work hours are in a proper approach
-- As a leader I have to be respectful, accountable, and consistent in my approach. An open communication helps to maintain a climate of social responsibility and ethics by enacting a tacit organization-wide code of respect and fairness for all
