A group of managers (N=25) participated in the problem-solving module of a leadership development program two weeks ago. the module consisted of two days in which the group focused on the correct process to use in problem-solving. each manager supervises 15 to 20 employees. the company is willing to change the program, and there is an increasing emphasis in the company to show that training expenses are justifiable. you are asked to evaluate this program. your boss would like the results of the evaluation no later than 6 weeks from now.

Once the curriculum has been finished, an evaluation could only be carried out in a posttest configuration that contrasts the management community with a control group. Evaluation can include analyzing specific managers ' actions over a number of weeks and assessing their usefulness in resolving different issues, and how much time is needed for coordinating solutions. When managers have not yet engaged in this method, a pretest / posttest strategy could be implemented, evaluating the managers ' results before and after the task and contrasting them to the control group.
