It used new radar technology, but the UK radar technology at the time was inferior to the German technology, its the way the UK radar was integrated into an information system that allowed it to be better exploited.

The development and the implementation of information systems are not just about technical and design aspects but also inextricably link to managerial, psyhcological and sociological aspects. The latter three aspects play significant role as to whether IS can successfully be implemented in particular organizations. The sophistication of IS is not sufficient for the successful IS implementation. Other factors such as managing individuals' and groups' behaviour when adopting IS (uses and resistance), aligning IT with managerial strategy, and legitimating the use of IS among communities and organizations via information difussion are extremely important as well. Lack of attention to such factors will likely results in information systems failure.
