A scientist livinv in Athens Greece, has noticed smaller pigeons in the city recently and questions whether some environmental factor is causinf the city pigeons to be of lesser average weight than would normally be expected. To investigate this matter she conducts a hypothesis test at the a = 0.05 level of significance. After collecting a random sample of 28 birds and taking their weight measurements she obtains a p-value of 0.021 in her left tailed hypothesis test. Based on this result what should the scientist conclude about the average weight of pigeons in her city?
