In this assignment, your task is to come up with potential operational definitions for the words in bold and underlined. An operational definition is a definition that makes it clear how the researcher should go about measuring the process, activity, or thing. The operational definition should also allow other researchers to duplicate-replicate the study because the variables are so clearly defined. For example if I wanted to know if exercise increased energy I would define “exercise” as something like “walking 2 miles,” “increased energy” would be more difficult to measure but I could have a scale from 1 to 10 and they could self rate level of energy. You can be creative and find new ways to measure a variable.
