The total direct runoff depth for a given rainfall event can be a negative value. True or false? Explain.
The direct runoff depth for a given rainfall can not be a negative value. The minimum value may be zero, when all precipitation percolates deep within ground and recharges ground water table. when railfall happens there are many losses occur like interception, depression storage ,evaporation , infiltertaion ... after these losses remaining water flow as overland flow or channel flow and joins main stream. this water flow is called direct runoff and its depth is knowd as direct runoff depth. it can not be negative.
The total direct runoff depth for a given rainfall event can be a negative value. True...
For the given table, if Direct Runoff depth is computed to be 101mm, determine the Runoff Coefficient, c. Express to the nearest 2 decimal digits. Time Observed Rainfall (mm) 9:00 43 9:30 53 10:00 5 10:30 5 11:00 11:30 12:00 12:30 13:00 13:30 14:00
For the table show, determine the Direct Runoff depth. Express in the nearest whole number value in mm. Note that the given is observed Runoff, not yet Direct Runoff. If the depth of excess rainfall is 6 cm, determine: a) depth of direct runoff, i (mm/hr) b) depth of infiltrated water, c) -index, d) equation of surface runoff hydrograph in terms of UH3 and lag times. e)...
In a rain event in the basin Rainpourshed, total rainfall in five hours is 7.5 inches. The infiltration rate is assumed as 0.5 in/hr for the whole event. If the total runoff from the event is 10,000 cfs-hr, what is area of the basin Rainpurshed in acres? 1 cfs - 1.008 ac-in./hr
