What specific strategy would you implement for your AEC business to enter into China? And how would you balance the differences between engineering cultures?
Solution:
To ensure that we successfully enter the Chinese market for our AEC business we must have a clear strategy to facilitate our entry into the new market. We must have all the market insights with us helping us develop a strategy to understand the market trends, needs and then cater to those needs with our services and products. This strategy would be best and would result in the least losses because of its highly detailed targetting that only targets the potential customers to gain the preliminary business. The strategy would also involve having a joint venture with an existing domestic player in the same industry and utilize the resources of the JV company and initiate the business operations within the market.
This way of entry using existing domestic resources of our joint venture partner is the best and cost-effective way of market entry. Working with existing players in the market helps in understanding the business dynamics and allows us to develop and modify our expansion strategies to ensure we are able to expand and establish our business successfully and sustainably. This is how we can strategize to enter into the Chinese market for our AEC business.
To tackle the problem and issues regarding the different cultures we can have cross-functional teams with diverse teams to ensure we have a mix of everything and that helps in managing the diversity and cultural differences within the global organization. We can have different sessions on how to familiarize with the domestic cultures and how to effectively team up to work with efficiency and effectiveness. Hence, the development of such cross-functional teams is an essential and effective way of managing the cultural differences within the organization.
This is how we can strategize the market entry for our AEC business in China and the ways in which we can manage the different cultures and practices in the workplace.
