from above model:

predicted retail sales for year 2013 (t =18) =9.44*18+84.182=254.102 billions of dollars

2)

from above : 244 =9.44t+84.182

t=(244-84.182)/9.44=16.93~ 17

therefore corresponding year =1995+17 =2012
