Assume that you have two job offers, one from a dominant-business firm and one from an unrelated diversified firm (suppose the beginning salaries are virtually identical). Which offer would they accept and why?

In the event that I was offered two job offers one from a dominant business and one from unrelated diversified company, I would accept the offer from the unrelated diversified company. Iwould accept the job offer in the unrelated diversified company because it runs less risks and will have the exposure to a wide range of businesses within the company and opportunity to move into different business divisions which will be better for my future growth.
