We were working in the automobile ancillary organization which uses Oracle ERP for the account management, sales process along with all other business processes being mapped in the Oracle ERP.

We have access to the sale order booking process in the Oracle ERP in our organization. We have conducted an audit for this process in our organization. This process is being used by the sales representative and account manager in the organization.

The functionality that is available are as below

  • Sale order booking functionality – This is the functionality in which sale order can be booked as per receipt of the sale order from customers with product part number, qty and required date.
  • Customer dispatch terms Functionality – This is the functionality that lists the normal lead time of each customer based against their routine PO.
  • Customer ID functionality – This is the functionality that help in creating and updating the customer details required for the sales process.
  • Pricing Update Functionality – This is the functionality that help in creating and updating the pricing for the orders in the sales process.
  • Dispatch Report Functionality – This is the functionality that help in generating the report for the dispatch as per need of the account manager /sale representative.

The functionality that is most valued is as below

  • Sale order booking functionality – This is the most valued functionality as per sales team because this functionality is being used most of the time and all the key work of the dispatch process is being initiated due to this process.

The functionality that they wish they had

  • Sale report generating functionality – This functionality they wish because this functionality can help them to generate the report as per their need and they can use the functionality for their work planning and update to their department.
