Answer #1

Positive ramifications this could have on developing more effective psychotropic medications to control the mind-

1- These medications could be very useful in maintaining a normal behavior of patients who have been suffering from mental brain disorders and are unable to control their actions and tend to hurt themselves due to this mental issue.

2- MRIs and PET scans of different patients having a particular disease will somehow show how these disorders are progressing through our brain tissue and this diagnosis will be very helpful for the patients who are freshly diagnosed with such diseases. Now , possibly we are able to make effective psychotropic medications , this will help in a better way of dealing with such brain problems from initial stages.

Negative ramifications of this MRIs and PET scans could be -

1-If we tend to go by the study and analysis of functioning of brain by MRI and PET scans always, this will somehow let our sight loose about the other factors that could be possible for such development of medications.

2- one possible scenario could that we are so lean towards curing the functioning of brain depending upon the flaws that appeared in scans is that these medications could only results in improvement of brain function but not on overall body development
