Determine the amount of energy released by this reaction. Assume the specific heat of the solution, which is dilute, is the same as that of water and that the beaker has a heat capacity of 330 J/ degree C.

Final temperature after heating a material is dependent on its heat capacity. The one higher heat capacity will be having a lower temperature than another material with smaller heat capacity, if both materials have same mass and are given same amount of heat energy.

Here we have 2 materials. Water and aluminium.

Water have higher spcific heat capacity than aluminium.

So if 1 kJ is given to both (with same mass), aluminium will be having higher temperature and thus it will be hotter.

1b.

Here coming to body temperature means which one will be acquiring the higher temperature fast. The one with smaller heat capacity will be coming to body temperature first. Here iron have smaller specific heat than aluminium. So it will be acquiring body temperature first.
