How many moles of [Co(en)₂Cl₂]Cl were produced using 7.00 mL of "concentrated HCl". Was given "36.5% by weight, density = 1.18 g/mL"

2 CoCl₂*H₂O + H₂O₂ + 2 HCl + 4 en --> 2 [Co(en)₂Cl₂]Cl + 14 H₂O

Just focusing on how many moles of [Co(en)₂Cl₂]Cl were produced using the "2HCl" part of equation.

Answer #1

We can simply solve this question by the use of following formulae for determining the no. Of moles of HCl used.

Density = mass/ volume

weight %= weight of the component of mixture (or solution)/weight of mixture (or solution)

after that I just used the stoichiometry of balanced chemical equation.
