Despite their close friendship, Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung had several disagreement about the role of sexuality and libido as well as the or role of "dreams" and the unconscious. please discuss Jung perspective regarding the function of dreams.

Carl Jung was one who was highly influenced by none but Mr. Freud. However the dream theory proposed by Jung had a different perspective and explanation as compared to the one made by Freud. Jung was of the opinion that dreams are the one which helps in bringing together the conscious and unconscious life of ours. This purpose is referred to as individuation. The second function of dream is the direct expression of our thoughts and imagination which is never strictly restricted to sexual thoughts alone. Another function is complete revelation of facts and thoughts without any sort of concealment.
