The workplace that I am working with is divided into departments as per the functionality and their jobs, it is further worth describing that a committee is there in which there is a representative of each department to represent their teams and hence a good amount of sustainable democracy is there in the way work is done and executed. The workplace is not that big and hence it becomes easy to ensure democratic decisions are taken place and ensured that fairness is maintained in the system.
It could have been much more effective if more democracy is involved. The organization size is increasing and hence the way it functioning for democracy might not work well after 2-3 months and hence it needs to device another way of ensuring that democracy is maintained and promoted within the departments and work wise SPOCs should be ether for democracy to be much more effective in the long run. Democracy is the management issue, everything is controlled by management only and the culture that is promoted from the management dissolves within the departments and hence democracy is purely a management issue that should be resolved form the root itself.
