Question no1-example of process improvement initiative:i am discussing this question taking the case of IKEA,the swedish furniture giant.IKEA has concentrated on wealth from waste to gain production efficiency.the company has achieved a profit of 1 million in 2016 by creating furniture form recycled wood.before the waste wood costed the company 1 million to manage and discharge. Here is one of the desk pads the company made from scrap.    question no 2-process involved : the process here involved is making trash as treasure by recycling. Question no3:radical or   incremental change:the change is radical as it is a sudden and transforming change which gave extreme profits to company . It is not incremental as in incremental there would be small but continuous change towards achieving the result. Question no4:-result of process improvement:the company does  not have to bother about managing and storing waste wood.this gave the company a immediate profit of 1 million dollars . Question no5-sucess of the project:the project gained financial success to company as well as the company benefitted the environment with its ecofriendly technique as Lee's number frees are now needed to make furniture from wood.so it is a success for company and a benefit for nature. Question no5- core or supporting process:,it is a change in core process as this process directly affects the delivery of value to customers and is a main change in aspect of core business i.e. it decreases cost and effort in manufacturing furniture for company .
