The end of the semester is here and your friend is upset with her final grade in Accounting. Below is an email message your friend plans to send to her Accounting instructor, Dr. Mary jones. Your friend knows she is upset and not thinking clearly. She's asked me to edit her message before she sends it. Rewrite the message to show how you would improve it.

Message: I think I was unfairly awarded a C in you Accounting class this semester, and I am asking for you to change my grade to a B. It was a difficult semester for me. I don't get my money from home, and I have to work mornings at the pancake House (as a cook), so I frequently had to rush to make your class. The two times I had to miss class were do to special events at the pancake House and I couldn't leave. On the midterm, I orginally got a 75 percent, but you would change the class there were two different ways to answer the third question and that you would change the grads of those students who used the "optimal cost" method and I had been counted off six points for doing this way. I don't think your took this into account because I got an 80 percent on the final, which is clearly a B. Anyway, whatever you decide, I just want you to Know that I really enjoyed the class. Thanks you for making accounting so interesting.

Revised message:

This is with reference to the grade provided to me during the Accounting class this semester. I would like to express the difficulties I have faced during the period. Since my family's economical condition is not stable, I need to work during the mornings to help fulfill financial requirements of my family and myself. However, I ensure to attend your class regularly in exception to two occasions when it was not possible to attend due to work-related issues. Though I scored 75% in the midterm exams, 6 points were lost since there were two different solutions to a common question. Also, I scored 80% during finals. Yet I have been awarded 'C' grade instead of 'B'. Requesting you to please reconsider the grades allotted as they are severely affecting my academic record. I hope you will consider my earnest request. I assure you that I will display significant improvement in the future semester.
