UV detectors are not used because of low wavelength range.

The best and convenient method for detecting the sugars is by using ELSD ( evaporative light scattering detector)

This method is sensitive, simple and reliable.

The comparability is found with gradient elution.

Although refractive index detector can also be used for analysing sugars but the best one with more advantages is using ELSD.

Thus, option C is correct.
