2. In terms of ethics, which participant right (e.g., informed consent, debriefing) would you argue is most important and why?
Answer:
Informed consent is the most important research in any study.in
any research participate must know the nature and purpose of
research.
it is the right of an individual to know the nature of the
research. It is a true fact that In SBER or social, behaviour and
education research deception is used commonly.
This can not be justified because it does not give the individual
their right of information.
For example, the Milgram experiment and bystander experiment are
the research experiments in which deception is used in order to
observe and analyze the behaviour and action of participants.
deception is not acceptable in the researches in which participants
are humans.
The Milgram experiment was unethical and immoral because in it
participants faced a huge amount of stress. It was a psychological
trap to participants in which they helped to torture and kill
another participant. The academic community decided that it is
immoral and unethical to harm human subjects intentionally for
experiments.
