PowerPoint slides are not just tools to be used for presentation, but it can be used in different aspects of your life. It is useful if you are a teacher, a project manager or a trainer. It can help in relaying your message more effectively while also making it interactive. Imagine having to present a new chapter in your class regarding "Principles of management". Reading it out from your book might make your lecture/presentation monotonous. However, by using PowerPoint slides you would be able to use images, audio, and video in your presentation. This would not only make your presentation more interactive but will provide you important points to remember which you might not have remembered if the presentation was being done through a book.
Imagine being a trainer and have a session with newly joined employees who have many expectations from the organization and for that reason with you. Having a fun-filled interactive session would enhance their experience. From my experience as a Project manager as well, having meetings with a client without a Powerpoint slides only gives the presentation an unprofessional feel. Through the slides, I can make sure that I am on point and attendees understand the objective. This saves me time and the same can be shared with the attendees for their reference at a later point of time. Even when you are part of a course or a class, having PowerPoint slides as a guideline for dos and don’ts would help you in the longer run.
While being able to present something through effective communication is very important, keeping the audience focussed is equally important. There are times when the audience might get distracted due to the length of the presentation, PowerPoint slides with interactive content would help you in keeping the audience focussed.
