Answer #1

Mainly the transportation policies covers all the things that is construction of roads, highways, flyovers, taxes and tolls applied, roadmaps and linking the roads, building of railway roads, airports etc . Since the already existing transportation policies cover almost all dimensions, it still needs improvements and some adjustments. This is the need of the hour keeping in view the changing climate and global warming also.

Urgent changes in transportation regulations :-

It is in the hands of the national government to make implementations in such policies . With the coming advanced technology of driverless cars, new-tech cabs, automated machines, drones etc environment is being compromised at a large level. The current policies needs to focus more on green house gas emission policy. This can be done by converting fossil fuels machines into electric or implementations in pubic transport.

One major issue which is contributing to pollution is lack of efficient public transportation. Thus changes in the policies with respect to public transportation should be made. The construction of roads needs to be done in a planned manner to make public transportation possible for the society. But due to lack of proper costing of travel costs and road costs, social impacts are seen. When road conditions are not good, rates of transportation rises. This shall be curbed.

Another major and urgent changes needed in the transportation policy is assuring security of the citizens of a Nation. Airways and airports have high security check system but other modes of transportation such as cars, buses, railways, ships etc pose a threat to citizens as terrorists generally get away with these modes of transportation. Thus, strict security checks shall be made for all public transportation services so that the whole economy can be run smoothly and securely.

We see how many security is provided to all politicians for travelling from one place to another. They have a huge caravan going with them. This has become a debatable topic for many but these caravans do harm the social and environmental life. The government can replace it with environment friendly automobiles to secure the environment. Also, with such emerging issues related to the environment, security, economy, government should pay attention and make urgent changes for welfare for the society and the nation as a whole.
