Being an experienced Project Manager how you will manage if Project Team members are not working seriously .Discuss with some real examplex

Adverse condition in a project management:
1) Degraded quality of code and
2) Project deadline miss

Example: An employee being on uninformed leave for many days. The higher management should get the work done by others.
Adverse effect:
As a manager takes the responsibility for segregating the task among the team member for an enhanced productivity hence they should also take necessary steps if the employee is casual with respect to work.
They can initially understand the concern and the issue relevant to the employee. There should then be follow ups via email, phone, or face to face with a review and report generation. The manager should also use the traceability matrix for measuring the status of the work. There should also be multiple follow ups. Also the higher management should make a standup meeting which will make the employee aware of the seriousness of work. The higher management should also initiate the termination or suspension of an employee if the carelessness of the employee still persists.
