1.In phenyl magnesium bromide dietharate compound; the Mg is coordinated to oxygen atoms of diether that reduces the positive character on Mg.

On the other hand in phenyl magnesium bromide ; the Mg exists as cation with the coanions Ph- and Br-. Hence the ionic character is more in phenyl magnesium bromide.

2. As ionic chatacter in phenyl magnesium bromide is more; it is more nucleophilic.

It tells that ether stabilises the grignard more by forming cooedination bonds.
