B2C (Business to Consumer) Websites:

  • Two well-designed B2C websites: Netflix, Nike
  • Two websites that not well designed: Dominos, Suzanne Collins Books

Netflix:

This website attracts many clients because of the collection of unlimited films, television programs, etc. I think this website is designed well and the responsive design beyond viewports is an attractive feature as well as user-friendly. It is an essential factor for such a website which has clients who use mobiles, television, laptops, tablets, etc. The user interface is very good and the client is free to switch between devices according to the need such as using in the laptop while at the office, then switch to television when reach home and later can see in mobile or tablets when going to sleep. If I am a customer of this website, I will definitely stay this website mainly because of seeing the tagline first –“Watch anywhere. Cancel anytime". The color theme that they followed is also an interesting factor. The dark background enhances the visual appearance of the website and suits this website to watch entertainment in leisure time or night. Moreover, this website can attract more users if navigation is easy to understand.

Other main features of this website is the information regarding details products and services that clients are interested on, and possess simple and easy to understand interaction design. The improvement can be done in

Dominos:

This website, when opened in my laptop its, showed “Landscape Mode is Currently not Supported. For the best experience please rotate your device.” I think this is a great design flaw by a worldwide brand of pizza. In mobile, it is working fine for me. So I think, this B2C firm should pay attention to website responsiveness.

Suzanne Collins Books:

The website is built for a zoom of 200%. Moreover, in homepage book covers are there where the click on them has no response. Instead of designing another page, downloadable docs on the list of Children’s Choice Award Nominations are placed for reading. This website can gain more readers if concentrate on visual appearance.
