5. Two crates, with masses m1 = 83 kg and m2 = 210 kg, are sitting side-by-side and at rest on a horizontal surface (they are touching). A 750-N force is exerted on m1 so that the boxes both move in the same direction. If the coefficient of kinetic friction between the boxes and the table is 0.12, find: (a) the acceleration of the boxes and (b) the contact force the boxes exert on one other. 6. A raindrop falls vertically from rest from a cloud; it experiences a drag force while falling. (a) Determine the raindrop’s velocity as a function of time. Express your answer in terms of the raindrop’s mass m and the drag coefficient b. (b) Using your answer from part (a), determine the raindrop’s acceleration the moment it first leaves the cloud.
