The group IIIA element of period 3 is Aluminium (Al).

The element with the electronic configuration 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p5 is : Bromine (Br)

In the ionic compound formed between these two Al will be cation and Br will be anion , so the formula of the compound will be :

AlBr3 , and the name of the compound will be : Aluminium bromide.
