Write a detailed paragraph on how natural selection can help explain evolution.
According to Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection by organic evolution evolution results from some natural factors.
They are :
Overproduction
Struggle for existence
Survival of fittest
Natural selection
Evolution of new species.
Primary aim of all animals is to reproduce and produce progenies all animals do this faithfully leading to overpopulated nature which is why nature keep checks like earthquake, forest fires etc.
Due to overproduction struggle for existence comes into picture where interspecific and intraspecific struggle occurs to utilise the resources available by the existing species.
After this struggle the fittest among the group survives. This is assisted by the useful variations present in organisms which allow them to survive adverse conditions among the individuals without variation.
The group which survive can pass on their characters (heritable variations) to next generation thereby giving rise to a new group with useful variations. Thus it is said that nature has selected this group of organisms who is overcoming the adversities over generation when compared to other groups. The other group may become extinct or reduce in number.
Thus this is how natural selection has led to origin of a new species.
Write a detailed paragraph on how natural selection can help explain evolution.
Explain why a lack of variation can constrain evolution by natural selection
A) Is natural selection progressive? Why or why not? B) Explain how evolution can influence genotype-by-environment interactions. Provide an example to assist your explanation.
explain difference between natural selection and genetic drift and how each can influence evolution in different ways. Should not be less than 200 words
1. Describe how evolution can arise via natural selection.
1. Describe how the process of natural selection works, and how it results in adaptations (Darwin's Observations and Conclusions) • How does unequal reproductive success lead to natural selection? What are adaptations? Explain Darwin’s observations and conclusions. • Describe evolution by natural selection? What are some important points about evolution? 2. Describe examples of and evidence for evolution by natural selection that can be seen in your daily life. 3. Discuss the different kinds of evidence that support the theory...
Evolution by natural selection, initially described by Charles Darwin, is the theory that explains how a population’s inherited traits change over time and describe why organisms must adapt to their environments. Evolutionary theory can explain how specialized features develop in different species.
Why can't evolution by natural selection explain the presence of the peacocks elaborate tail?
How evolution related to natural selection revealed by the imperfection of living organisms
Explain evolution in terms of natural selection, genetic mutation, and speciation. Give an example of each process which resulted in a species evolving to best survive in its' specific habitat.
Discuss how natural selection has likely influenced the evolution of skin color in humans.
