Answer #1

Answer:

1. When I hear the word nationalism, it comes to mind that it is a human-made boundary that separates people from other people living on the planet on the basis of physical and cultural lines to assist the wheels of common goals and development.

2. When I hear the word globalization, it comes to my mind that all the boundaries created by the humans are descended upon to allow the unrestricted flow of information, goods, materials, thoughts, people, business, knowledge, culture and technologies.

3. These two concepts are in opposition to each other. Globalization seriously threatens the essence of nationalism as it is escalating the process that erodes the differential national identity.

4. The USA under Donald Trump comes to my mind as his policies are mostly directed by the ideology of "nation first".

5. Multinational companies come to my mind when I hear the term globalization as these companies have transcended all the borders and establish a business so vast that some of them are changing the cultural norms and traditions.

6. Yes, according to my understanding of the nation-state, it is an imagined political community which might be very diverse yet united.
